Türkiye Relocation Guide
Everything on our Türkiye page, taken further and turned into a working file: an 87-page guide with document lists by route from the Presidency of Migration Management’s own checklists and the Turkish consulates’ 2026 sheets for U.S. applicants, the income tests and fees for your household, the 20-year exemption on foreign income worked through, the title-deed fee at five prices, and a month-by-month plan; an Excel workbook that does the arithmetic; and a Word checklist you check off as you go. Every rule and official figure is taken from, or calculated from, an official source, 101 of them, checked on October 8, 2026, and every figure that changes is dated, with the place to check it; the worked households use assumed incomes, labeled as such.

What You Get Beyond the Free Page
Our Türkiye page is free and stays free. The guide adds the parts you need when you actually start the paperwork.
| Chapter or tool | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Three worked households | A retired couple in Izmir on the tourism ground, a remote-working family of four in Antalya weighing the digital nomad visa against the tourism ground, and a single early retiree buying a home in Bodrum on the property ground, each taken through the route the rules point to, the tests line by line, the first-year fees and the monthly lines with an official figure (composite examples: their incomes and savings are assumptions, not real clients). |
| First-year cost plan | The 2026 card, work-permit and consular visa fees, the legal limits and the official references, and the monthly running costs, with a column for your own figures; it matches the workbook, and it says plainly where no official figure exists, such as the residence-permit fee for U.S. citizens. |
| Document tracker and month-by-month plan | Each document by route with where to get it and any validity, apostille or translation rule an official source states, plus a plan from 12 months before the move to 3 months after, as checklists in Word. |
| Document lists by route | The Presidency of Migration Management’s e-Ikamet checklists for the short-term permit (tourism and property grounds), the family permit and children, the digital nomad platform’s requirements, and the 2026 work and digital nomad visa sheets of the Turkish Consulates General in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Houston, each dated to the day we read it. |
| Your household’s numbers | The tourism income test for one to four adults and up to three children, the family permit’s sponsor test, the digital nomad figure, and the 2026 card and work-permit fees, in lira and dollars. |
| The 20-year exemption, worked | The test step by step, the certificate deadline for each month you might become resident, and what the exemption is worth at three incomes. |
| Purchase costs, worked | The 2% title-deed fee at five prices, whether each reaches USD 200,000 and USD 400,000, what each buys in five provinces, the yearly building tax, and the valuable-housing tax, from which an only home in Türkiye is exempt. |
| Numbers, deadlines and glossary | Emergency numbers in the official wording, the Turkish consulates and the offices you will deal with, the deadlines that repeat, and the local terms you will meet. |

Made For
- Americans who have chosen Türkiye, or narrowed it to Türkiye and one other country.
- Retirees and others living on income from abroad, and buyers of a home worth USD 200,000 or more.
- Remote workers, people with a Turkish job offer, and the families moving with them.
- Anyone who wants to arrive at a lawyer’s or tax adviser’s office already knowing the rules.
What It Is Not
- Legal, tax or immigration advice. It explains the rules in general; your case needs your advisers.
- A decision on your case: the migration directorate decides each file, and the guide says where the official texts leave a question open, such as the residence-permit fee for U.S. citizens.

Questions About the Guide
How is the guide different from your free Türkiye page?
The page explains the rules; the guide is built for doing the work. It adds three worked household examples, a first-year cost plan, a document tracker and a month-by-month plan, document lists by route, the income tests and fees for your household, the 20-year exemption worked through, the title-deed fee at five prices, deadlines, a glossary and key numbers, plus the Excel workbook and the Word checklists.
How current is it?
Every source was read on October 8, 2026, and each figure is numbered to its source, which is marked with the day it was read. Every figure that changes carries its date and the official place to check it, and the guide says which change on a fixed calendar, such as the minimum wage and the tax brackets each January 1. Lira amounts lose value quickly, so the guide dates each one. Each edition is dated; a later edition is a new purchase. If you find an error in your file, we send a corrected copy free.
Does Türkiye have a retirement visa?
Not as such. Retirees use the short-term residence permit on the tourism ground, with an income test tied to the minimum wage, or on the property ground, with a home worth at least USD 200,000. The guide sets out both, with a worked example of a retired couple and of an early retiree who buys a home.
Does the guide cover remote work?
Yes: the digital nomad visa’s conditions and the New York consulate’s 2026 document list, what the official texts leave open, and how pay for work done in Türkiye is treated for tax, with a worked example of a remote-working family.
Is it legal or tax advice?
No. Quantum Jetset does not give legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice. The guide explains how the rules work in general and lists the questions to take to a licensed lawyer and a cross-border tax adviser.
