Visas, residence and citizenship

Information about visas, residence permits, digital nomad and passive-income routes, citizenship, the Schengen 90/180-day rule, the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), ETIAS, income thresholds, fees, processing times and documents is general information. Rules change, and consulates and immigration offices apply them case by case.

We do not say whether you are eligible for any route, and we do not guarantee approval, renewal, permanent residence, citizenship or any government decision. Confirm every immigration matter with the official government source, the relevant embassy or consulate, or a licensed immigration lawyer in that country.

Please do not submit forms, rely on a threshold, book travel, resign, sell property, move family members or relocate pets based only on website content or general planning materials.

Tax, money, pensions and investments

We do not provide tax, accounting, financial, investment, pension, Social Security or estate advice. References to tax rates, treaties, the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, foreign tax credits, totalization agreements, special tax regimes, wealth, capital gains, inheritance or property taxes are general and may not apply to you.

U.S. citizens and green card holders usually keep U.S. filing and reporting duties while living abroad.
