Poland Relocation Guide
Everything on our Poland page, taken further and turned into a working file: an 84-page guide with document lists by route from the Polish Embassy’s own checklist for U.S. applicants, the Act on Foreigners and the Karta Polaka Act, the income test, visa fees and stamp duty for your household, the salary floors, the transfer tax and the notary’s cap worked out at five prices, and a month-by-month plan; an Excel workbook that does the arithmetic; and a Word checklist you check off as you go. Every rule and official figure is taken from, or calculated from, an official source, 127 of them, checked on September 25 and October 4, 2026; the worked households use assumed incomes, labeled as such.

What You Get Beyond the Free Page
Our Poland page is free and stays free. The guide adds the parts you need when you actually start the paperwork.
| Chapter or tool | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Three worked households | A retired couple on Social Security and a company pension in Kraków, a remote-working couple with two children in Warsaw where one partner takes a Blue Card job, and a single early retiree on investment income in Wrocław, each taken through the route the rules point to, the tests line by line, the first-year fees and the monthly lines with an official figure (composite examples: their incomes and savings are assumptions, not real clients). |
| First-year cost plan | The consulate’s fee, the stamp duties and the official references, and the monthly running costs, with a column for your own figures; it matches the workbook, and it says plainly where no official figure exists, such as a rent by city. |
| Document tracker and month-by-month plan | Each document by route with where to get it and any validity or age limit an official source states, plus a plan from 12 months before the move to 3 months after, as checklists in Word. |
| Document lists by route | The Polish Embassy in Washington’s national-visa checklist with its additions by purpose, the Act on Foreigners’ rules for filing a residence permit through MOS, and the Karta Polaka Act’s application rules, each dated to the version we read. |
| Your household’s numbers | The income test for 1 to 4 adults and 0 to 3 children, the visa fees and stamp duty, the salary floors for 2026 and 2027, and the business permit’s regional test, in zloty and dollars. |
| Purchase costs, worked | The 2% transfer tax, the first-home exemption, the notary’s cap (half the scale for an apartment) and the land register fee at five prices, and what each price buys at the NBP city averages. |
| Numbers, deadlines and glossary | Emergency numbers in the official wording, the five Polish posts in the United States with their consular districts, the deadlines that repeat, and the local terms you will meet. |

Made For
- Americans who have chosen Poland, or narrowed it to Poland and one other country.
- Americans of Polish descent weighing the Karta Polaka and citizenship.
- Employees with a Polish job offer, people starting a business, and families moving together.
- Anyone who wants to arrive at a lawyer’s or tax adviser’s office already knowing the rules.
What It Is Not
- Legal, tax or immigration advice. It explains the rules in general; your case needs your advisers.
- A retirement or digital nomad visa: Poland has neither, and the guide says so, with the permit on other circumstances that, by our reading, is the nearest route for people living on their own means.
- Residence by investment: we found no investor (golden) visa in the Act on Foreigners.

Questions About the Guide
How is the guide different from your free Poland page?
The page explains the rules; the guide is built for doing the work. It adds three worked household examples, a first-year cost plan, a document tracker and a month-by-month plan, document lists by route, your household’s income test, fees and stamp duty, the purchase costs worked out at five prices, deadlines, a glossary and key numbers, plus the Excel workbook and the Word checklists.
How current is it?
The sources of our Poland page were read on October 4, 2026, some U.S. federal and EU sources on September 25, and the sources added for the guide’s own chapters, including the Embassy’s visa checklist and the Polish posts’ contact pages, on October 4; each figure is numbered to its source, which is marked with the day it was read. Bills before the Sejm are dated “as of October 4, 2026”. Where we found no official figure, such as a rent by city, the guide says so. Each edition is dated; a later edition is a new purchase. If you find an error in your file, we send a corrected copy free.
Does Poland have a retirement visa?
Not by that name: we found no retirement or passive-income permit in the Act on Foreigners. By our reading, the nearest route is the temporary residence permit on other circumstances, which the voivode may grant at discretion. The guide sets out the income test, the Embassy’s visa checklist, the fees and the questions to take to a lawyer, with a worked example of a retired couple.
Does the guide cover the Karta Polaka?
Yes: who can apply, what the application must prove, the free visa and permanent residence it opens, and the path to citizenship after one year of that permanent residence, with Polish at B1.
Is it legal or tax advice?
No. Quantum Jetset does not give legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice. The guide explains how the rules work in general and lists the questions to take to a licensed lawyer and a cross-border tax adviser.
What if a file will not open?
If a file will not open, email us with your order number and we will put it right by sending you a working copy free of charge.
Will my card statement say Quantum Jetset?
It will show MEGACOMMERCIALENT, the payment name of Mega Commercial Enterprises Limited, the Irish company behind Quantum Jetset.
Quantum Jetset does not give legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice. The guide explains the rules in general, with official sources checked on September 25 and October 4, 2026; check the source before you act and speak to a licensed professional where it matters.
