Greece Relocation Guide
Everything on our Greece page, taken further and turned into a working file: a 77-page guide with the official document requirements by route, the FIP and digital nomad test worked out for your household, transfer tax at five prices, the three tax regimes for newcomers in detail and a month-by-month plan; an Excel workbook that does the arithmetic; and a Word checklist you check off as you go. Every rule and official figure is taken from, or calculated from, an official source, 79 of them, checked on September 25, 2026; the worked households use assumed incomes, labeled as such.

What You Get Beyond the Free Page
Our Greece page is free and stays free. The guide adds the parts you need when you actually start the paperwork.
| Chapter or tool | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Three worked households | A retired couple and a single early retiree on the FIP permit, and a remote-working family on the digital nomad visa, each taken through the money test, first-year fees and the monthly lines with an official figure (composite examples: their incomes and savings are assumptions, not real clients). |
| First-year cost plan | The official one-off fees, and the monthly running costs with their official references, with a column for your own figures; it matches the workbook. |
| Document tracker and month-by-month plan | Each document by route with where to get it, its validity and any apostille or translation rule an official source states, plus a plan from 12 months before the move to 3 months after, as checklists in Word. |
| Document requirements by route | What the Migration Code asks for the digital nomad visa and its family members, the Migration Ministry’s FIP checklist, and what Mitos lists for your tax number, AMKA, school, license exchange and relocation certificate. |
| Your household’s numbers | The FIP and digital nomad test for one or two adults and 0 to 3 children, in euros and dollars, and family reunification by family size. |
| Purchase taxes, worked | Transfer tax and the municipal surcharge at five prices, the VAT suspension on new buildings, and who the first-home exemption covers. |
| The three tax regimes | Articles 5A, 5B and 5C in detail: conditions, deadlines, how you lose them, and worked tables at five income levels. |
| Numbers, deadlines and glossary | Emergency numbers in the official wording, U.S. Embassy and Consulate contacts, the deadlines that repeat each year, and the Greek terms you will meet. |

Made For
- Americans who have chosen Greece, or narrowed it to Greece and one other country.
- Retirees and people living on pensions, savings or investments, looking at the FIP permit.
- Remote workers and their families weighing the digital nomad visa.
- Anyone who wants to arrive at a lawyer’s or tax adviser’s office already knowing the rules.
What It Is Not
- Legal, tax or immigration advice. It explains the rules in general; your case needs your advisers.
- A substitute for your own consulate’s checklist on the day you apply: we could not read the Greek consulates’ websites, and the guide tells you what to ask them.
- A guide to other countries. Our Europe-wide planners work alongside it.

Questions About the Guide
How is the guide different from your free Greece page?
The page explains the rules; the guide is built for doing the work. It adds three worked household examples, a first-year cost plan, a document tracker and a month-by-month plan, the official document requirements by route, your household’s numbers for the FIP and digital nomad test and for family reunification, transfer tax worked out at five prices, articles 5A, 5B and 5C in detail, deadlines, a glossary and key numbers, plus the Excel workbook and the Word checklists.
How current is it?
Every rule and official figure was checked against official sources on September 25, 2026, and each is numbered to its source. Where we could not reach a source, the guide says so. Each edition is dated; a later edition is a new purchase. If you find an error in your file, we send a corrected copy free.
Does it include the Greek consulates’ checklists?
No. The Greek consulates’ websites in the United States were not readable when we checked, so the guide lists what the Migration Code, the Migration Ministry’s own FIP checklist and Mitos, the state’s register of procedures, require, dated to the versions we read, and tells you what to ask your consulate.
Why are there no rents by town?
Greece publishes no official rents per square meter by town that we could read, and we use official sources only. The guide gives the official price changes, transit fares and electricity tariffs instead, and the workbook compares your own rent quotes for three towns.
Is it legal or tax advice?
No. Quantum Jetset does not give legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice. The guide explains how the rules work in general and lists the questions to take to a licensed lawyer and a cross-border tax adviser.
What if a file will not open?
If a file will not open, email us with your order number and we will put it right by sending you a working copy free of charge.
Will my card statement say Quantum Jetset?
It will show MEGACOMMERCIALENT, the payment name of Mega Commercial Enterprises Limited, the Irish company behind Quantum Jetset.
Quantum Jetset does not give legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice. The guide explains the rules in general, with official sources checked on September 25, 2026; check the source before you act and speak to a licensed professional where it matters.
